SIM Help & Troubleshooting

Ready to activate your first SIM? Follow the guide below based on your SIM type:

Not sure which SIM type you need? Check out our Choosing Your SIM guide for help deciding.

How can I transfer my SIM when setting up a new phone?

If you've changed or upgraded phones, keep in mind that eSIMs cannot be transferred from one device to another, so you'll need a new one to activate. You should be able to manage and request a new SIM right in the Settings of your Helium Mobile app. Please see more information on this here: Get a New SIM.

If you still have an active physical SIM, simply insert it into your new phone and you're good to go!

If you need a new physical SIM, replacements can be purchased for $10+ tax through the app by going to Settings > Manage SIM > Order a SIM Card

Need additional help, or already changed SIMs on your own recently? You can reach out to us by going to Settings > Contact Support. You can also email [email protected] directly.

Please be sure to configure your APN settings after switching devices.

Where can I view my SIM number?

Your SIM number, sometimes called an ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier), can be found in the Helium Mobile app. Tap the Profile icon in the upper left, then toggle

Show SIM Number.

You can usually also find this information in your phone's settings. Refer to your device manufacturer's documentation for specific steps.

Can I delete my eSIM to troubleshoot?

Since eSIMs can only be scanned once, deleting yours means it can't be rescanned or used again. Please only delete your eSIM if you’ve been instructed to do so by our support team.

Already deleted your eSIM by accident? No worries, just reach out to Support and we'll help get you a new one.
