Ready to activate your service? Follow these steps to install your Helium Mobile physical SIM card and connect your device.
Before getting started, make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi. Please also make sure that you have downloaded the Helium Mobile app.
Follow these steps to successfully install your physical SIM.
1. From the Helium Mobile app, tap Install SIM from the home screen.
2. Choose the “Install SIM Card” option.
3. Tap Let's Begin, verify your E911 address, and update it if needed. Then tap Confirm Address.
4. Find the 18–22 digit SIM Card number located below the barcode on your SIM card. Enter only the numbers (excluding the final letter), or scan the barcode, then tap Continue.
5. On the Choose Your Number screen, select whether you'd like a new Helium Mobile number or want to transfer your existing number from another carrier.
Transferring your number? Here’s what you’ll need:
The phone number you’d like to transfer
Your account number from your current carrier
Your transfer pin from your current carrier (This is also called a port-out pin)
The billing zip code associated with your current carrier account
6. When your SIM has been successfully activated, you'll see "You're Connected" confirming that setup was successful. Tap Back to Home to return to the app Home screen.
7. Once activation is complete, you can install your SIM card with these steps:
Locate and remove the SIM tray on your device.
Pop out the correct SIM size from the card holder.
Insert the SIM into the tray and ensure it is properly aligned.
Reinsert the tray into your device.
