What is Helium Mobile and what do we offer? Great question! Helium Mobile is a revolutionary phone plan that pays you, with plans prices starting as low as $0/month.

"What are the different plans?" I'm glad you asked!

  • Zero: 3GB of data, 300 texts, and 100 minutes of calling. Totally free. No credit card needed.

  • Air: 10GB of data, unlimited texts and calls, . $15/month.

  • Infinity: Unlimited data, text, and calls. $30/month.

"Wait, did i read "free?" Yes you did, there is a FREE plan!

Join Helium Mobile using our iOS or Android App. Currently, Helium Mobile is invite-only: You can sign up with a referral from an existing Helium Mobile subscriber or use an exclusive code. Ask around!

Can I keep my current phone number?

Yes! Keep your phone number and phone. Helium Mobile is BYOD – bring your own device! Just make sure your current device is unlocked. You can also use Helium Mobile as a second phone plan with a second phone number, just make sure your phone has dual SIM support.


Which of the plans include personal hotspot/tethering?

Tethering is not available with the Zero plan. Air and Infinity both come with 5GB/month of hotspot data.


What’s Helium Mobile’s coverage like?

Helium Mobile uses the nation’s largest 5G network plus supplemental coverage from the Helium Network, so you get more coverage than your average phone plan.


How is Helium Mobile able to offer a free phone plan?

Helium Mobile’s free plan is made possible with its community-built network, a new type of infrastructure that is less expensive than legacy carriers. In exchange for the free plan, you’ll share your anonymized location data, enabling the community to create coverage where it’s most needed.


I have heard about other plans before, are those still available?

There have been $5 Unlimited and $20 Unlimited plans offered in the past. These are no longer available, and the current Zero, Air, and Infinity plans are the only ones we are offering.

There is no change for those existing users on those plans.


How can I tell if my phone is unlocked?

You can find out if your iPhone is locked by going to Settings > General > About. If "No SIM restrictions" appear next to Carrier Lock, your iPhone is unlocked. If you would like more information on how to do this with your iPhone, please click here. If you're still unsure, please check with your previous carrier. While this is accurate most of the time, the only true way to verify lock status is to contact your current carrier or attempt to use a sim card from a different carrier.


Is there a family/group plan?

While we do have a Group plan program, it's currently on temporary hold. Click here for more on group plans.


Should I cancel my current service or my voice?

Please do not cancel your previous service provider until you have successfully ported over your phone number. If you'd like a brand new number, then go ahead and cancel!


Is this secure? Will my voice or messages be tracked? Is my data usage safe or protected?

At Helium Mobile, data security is a priority. Your data is secure with us, and your voice and messaging will not be tracked.

Can I delete my eSIM to troubleshoot problems?

Our eSIMs can only be scanned once. They can never be rescanned or used again after being deleted. Please do not delete your Helium Mobile eSIM unless specifically requested by a member of our support team.


Does Helium Mobile sell merch?

Yes! Go to merch.hellohelium.com to buy swag.


I have a problem with my Helium Mobile merch order. Who can I contact?

My first invoice says "Free Trial" - what does this mean?

This invoice is part of our standard procedure to validate your payment method. Although the term "free trial" is used, it does not reflect an actual trial period, but rather a necessary step to ensure your payment details are correctly processed and secure.

Please rest assured that this validation does not result in any changes to your account, and your actual payment will be reflected in a second invoice and in your order confirmation email.


I have a hold on my card for $1.00 - what is this?

To ensure the security and validity of the payment methods used on our platform, we are making an important update to our sign-up process.

Please note:

  • This is not a charge. The $1 is simply an authorization hold to verify your payment method.

  • Once the authorization hold has occurred, it cannot be altered.

  • The full amount will be returned to your account within 5-7 business days.

  • This change is part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding your information and ensuring a secure experience on our platform.
