What Is Scam Defense?
Scam Defense is built into all paid Points plans to help protect you from unwanted scam calls. Paid Plans include Sprout, Air, Air Kids, Infinity, and Infinity Kids.
If you are on a paid points plan, you don’t need to do anything to turn it on! It’s already enabled and working for you. This feature is not available for the Zero Plan or for $5 and $20 Legacy plans.
What's Included?
1. Scam Call Tagging
When a suspicious number calls, Scam Defense automatically labels it as “Scam Likely.” This helps you decide whether to answer or ignore the call.
2. Callback Protection
When a number is likely associated with a scam, you will receive an audible message alert before the call connects. “The number you have called has been identified as likely a scam. It’s recommended that you hang up now.”
Unless Scam Blocking is on, this message is just meant to be helpful. The call will not be blocked, and you may choose to end the call or continue.
3. Scam Blocking
Scam Blocking is automatically enabled. This means that we automatically block scam calls, so they never ring through.
Don't want to completely block scam calls? You can disable or enable Scam Blocking in "Settings" at anytime! When it's disabled, scam calls will only be labelled as "Scam Likely" and will still ring through.
Controlling Scam Blocking in the App
Want to block scam calls completely or turn the feature off?
You can do that in the app with the Block Scam Calls toggle, available in version 3.15.1 and above.
To use the toggle:
Update your app to version 3.15.1 or higher
Open the app and go to Settings > Scam Blocking
Turn Block Scam Calls on or off with the toggle. (To avoid issues, you may only disable/enable this toggle every 12 hours).
If you’re on an older version, update your app to see the toggle.

Register your number at donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222
Block specific numbers directly in your phone’s call history
Silence unknown callers in your phone settings
