How do I add my child to a Helium Mobile Kids Plan?
Helium Mobile Kids' plans are available through a Group Plan. As a Group Administrator (must be over the age of 18), you can add someone to a Kids Plan by doing the following:
Log into the Helium Mobile App.
Navigate to the "Group Plans" orange icon.
Tap "Invite to Group". (You can invite up to 7 members to group!)
Select a Plan. This is where you can select between a Standard Plan (ages 18 and over only) or a Kids Plan (ages 17 and younger only).
We offer 3 plans for Kids: the Starter Plan, the Air Kids Plan, and the Infinity Kids Plan.
After selecting one of the Helium Mobile Kids' Plans, enter in an Account Email. This email address will be stored and used by Helium Mobile. Please refrain from using the email address of someone who is under the age of 18.
Enter in an Emergency Address. This is a required address used to enable e911 services.
Agree to our "Terms and Conditions" on behalf of the user. A child under the age of 18 cannot consent to our terms, all Group Administrator will hold legal responsibility over a Helium Mobile Kids Plan.
Tap "Invite to Plan".
Carefully read through and consent to our legal notice.
How do I set up my child's Helium Mobile Kids Plan?
Once you have added a member to a Helium Mobile Kids Plan under your group (see here if you have not completed this step), signing them up is easy!
Check your email inbox for detailed instructions to sign up.
Log out of your Group Administrator Helium Mobile account.
In the Helium Mobile app, tap "I'm Joining a Group."
Create an account. Enter in the email address you invited to the Helium Mobile Kids Plan.
Set a secure password for the account. Tap "Create Account."
Verify the email address by tapping on the one time link sent to the email's inbox.
Once verified, view the "Welcome to Helium Mobile Kids" intro, as well as the overview of the plan.
You're done! Activate your child's SIM just as you did your own.

Parents can easily monitor a child’s phone usage (calls, texts, and data) from the Helium Mobile app per group member.

Parents can monitor a child’s usage of data, texts, and calls from their account. A Helium Mobile Kids plan automatically restricts Helium Mobile marketing content from being sent to their email and does not allow location tracking from our app.
All changes to an account, such as email address updates and password settings, require parent approval before changing.
All security features, such as a biometric pin or Multi-Factor Authentication, can be enabled on a Child’s account.

Helium Mobile’s free plan is made possible with its community-built network. For adults, in exchange for the free plan, you’ll share your anonymized location data, enabling the community to create coverage where it’s most needed.
In order to ensure the privacy of subscribers on a Helium Mobile Kids plan, we do not collect location sharing information from minors. The Helium Mobile Kids plan also comes with unlimited talk and text - which the Zero Plan for adults does not.

We are not collecting location data from kids plans, and are opting them out of marketing. When creating the account, we strongly recommend using an email address that you (as the parent) have access to so you can monitor any account-related communications.
