This program is currently paused while we make improvements. We will update this article when we begin taking new applications.

The Carrier Breakup Program is a program to help customers paying for a phone under contract with another carrier switch to Helium Mobile. We will help qualified subscribers pay off their remaining phone balance in MOBILE tokens.

Those interested can apply to join. You will need to provide details about how much you have left to pay off and if you have multiple you'd like to switch under this program.

Where can I apply to have my phone paid off?

You can apply through this form.

How will I know if I’m chosen to get my phone paid off by Helium Mobile?

You will receive an email from [email protected] with next steps and instructions on how to submit the necessary documents.

I applied for the program. When will I hear back?

Give us 2 weeks to review the applications and follow up with you by email. If accepted, we’ll need 15 business days to review your documents.

I'm paying off multiple phones on my family plan. Can I apply to have all of them paid off?

You can apply to have up to 8 lines paid off with this program.

Can I get a lump sum instead of monthly payments?

At this time, we only offer monthly payments as reimbursement.

My account accidentally got canceled/went past due, how can I restart the program?

It is a requirement of the program that you keep your account active and paid. Failure to make payment of account cancellation will result in your removal from the program.

What phones qualify?

Your phone must be compatible with Helium Mobile to qualify. Qualifying phones support the Helium Mobile app, so it is recommended to download the app from the app store to verify. You can read more about what phones qualify here. Note that once you’ve paid off your phone, you may need to reach out to your carrier to unlock the phone.

When should I pay off my phone?

You should pay off your phone once we have reviewed and approved your documents.

I already recently paid off my phone, can I still apply?

If you have paid off your phone within the last 30 days, you can submit an application. Please note your final payment amount in the application. If approved, you will need to submit proof of your final payment date and amount with your document submission.

I already have an account with Helium Mobile and use a different phone, can I still apply?

Existing subscribers are not eligible for this program, but you can refer your friends and family who still have phones to pay off. If you’ve been a subscriber for more than 6 months, you can earn up to $100 in MOBILE for each successful referral.
